CA Sexual Harassment Training

Effective January 1, 2021, CA law requires ALL employers with 5 or more employees to provide 1.0 hour of sexual harassment and abuse conduct prevention training to Non-Supervisory level employees and 2.0 hours of sexual harassment and abusive conduct prevention training to Supervisors/Managers once every two (2) years.

The new law requires training to include practical examples of harassment based on gender identity, gender expression, and sexual orientation.

AB-1825

California law requires employers with 50 + workers to provide Sexual Harassment Training for their supervisors/managers every 2 years.

The law defines "50 workers" to include full-time & part-time employees, temporary service employees, and independent contractors who work for the company. Even if an employee doesn’t have an official supervisory title, if the employee has responsibility for any personnel action, the employee must receive training.

Training

Training must be provided by a qualified trainer with knowledge and expertise in the prevention of harassment, discrimination, and retaliation.

Both laws require an Interactive Classroom setting or on-line education, and employers must maintain proof of training in accordance with CA Sexual Harassment record-keeping requirements. Training Course includes Participant Handouts, Training Handbook & Certificates of Completion.

LTM offers this training as needed. It covers 2.5 hours of sexual harassment training.

Yes. It can be offered at the employer worksite or at the LTM office training facility.
